Terms of Use (EULA) — TNM Cancer Staging

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and the developer of TNM Cancer Staging ("we", "us") governing your use of the TNM Cancer Staging mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Medical disclaimer

The App is an educational and reference tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations for any individual patient.

The App is intended for use by qualified healthcare professionals and students as a reference aid. It functions in the same way as a textbook or published reference work. Clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the treating clinician, who must independently verify any information against primary sources and applicable local guidance.

Do not enter patient-identifiable information into the App.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the store you obtained it from. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, resell or sublicense the App or its content, or use it to build a competing product.

All content in the App, including its reference text, structure and software, remains our property or that of our licensors.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the App, under Settings.

4. Subscriptions and payment

The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock premium features. Free use of the App remains available with usage limits.

Price. The price of each subscription is shown in your local currency on the purchase screen inside the App, and on the App Store product page, before you confirm any purchase. Prices vary by country and may change; you will always see the current price before you are charged.

Auto-renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the then-current price for that plan.

Managing and cancelling

You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your device's account settings after purchase: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iOS, or the Play Store account settings on Android. The App also links directly to this screen from its Settings page.

Cancellation and refunds

We do not provide refunds for cancellation. If you cancel, your subscription remains active for the remainder of the period you have already paid for, and that period is charged in full. Cancelling part-way through a month or year does not entitle you to a refund or a partial refund for the unused portion.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; premium access continues until then and does not renew afterwards. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription — you must turn off auto-renew in your store account settings.

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, not by us. Any refund is at the sole discretion of the store operator under its own policies, and must be requested from that store directly. Where local consumer law grants you statutory rights that cannot be excluded, those rights are unaffected by this section.

5. Content updates

Reference content is written and reviewed by our clinical team, and is delivered over the internet so it can be updated without reinstalling the App. We aim for accuracy but do not warrant that content is complete, current or error-free.

6. Acceptable use

Use the App only for lawful, educational and professional reference purposes.
Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
Do not scrape, bulk-extract or republish the App's content.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any clinical decision made in reliance on the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notified in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached. You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account from within it.

11. Independence

TNM Cancer Staging is an independent educational tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced in partnership with any staging body, guideline organisation, professional society or publisher.
